Robert "Bob" E. Shute, 68, Rt 1, Waynetown died 2 a.m. Saturday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Shute was a farmer and serve din the Air Force from 1955-59. He was a 1953 Waynetown HS graduate and attended Purdue. He was a member of Waynetown United Methodist Church, Purdue Alumni Association and was active in 4-H and FFA programs. He was named the "Star Hoosier Farmer of 1952," the highest award available from the FFA. He was born Oct 21, 1934 at Veedersburg to Raymond and Edna Galloway Shute. He married July Gillam July 7, 1956 at Waynetown. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Gary, Waynetown; a daughter, Linda Shute, lafayette; his stepmother, Evelyn Blackford Shute, Crawfordsville and four grandchildren. His parents, a brother, Edward and son, David are deceased. Funeral services are schedule for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Shoemaker Funeral Home Inc 202 Indiana 25 S, Waynetown with Pastors David Low and Linda Lawler officiating. Burial will b ein Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
